The Community Spirit Awards highlight local excellence within the charitable sector, recognising and celebrating charities’ recent achievements and best practice, thus raising the profile of charity and voluntary activity in Calderdale.

There are 10 award categories, details of which you can find on the home page at www.halifaxcommunityspiritawards.co.uk

The deadline for applications is Friday 10th August 2017. Please try and answer all the questions as accurately as possible and keep to the word count provided. All forms of charitable organisations can apply along with organisations without a charity number that is ‘not for profit’ and provides a community benefit. Organisations can nominate themselves and be nominated.

NB: The judging panel will meet on August 16th – and their decision is final.

The Awards Ceremony will take place on Thursday 27th September at The Venue Barkisland, presented by BBC Radio 5 Live’s Anna Foster.
